@npittas hehe. interesting, I always found Red footage pretty easy to key.

@npittas cool. glad to hear you are busy.

@npittas actors standing 10cm away from screen, occasionally touching it. wind blowing the screen into folds and cloud shadows passing by :)

@npittas cheers. yep. all makes sense now. will give it a try. though the footage I have at the moment is downright horrible. :)

@npittas how was your trip to the UK? still here? I’ll be in London next weekend.

@npittas have seen similar setups in the past. thanks. will give it a try on the Alexa footage.

@npittas also, I assume, the Constant needs to be the greenscreen color, right?

@npittas don’t have footage at hand to test with. will report back on Monday. could you label the inputs of the 1st paste for me? all FG?

@meken it’s a pity though. @cmivfx has some stuff that looks interesting.

@getkirby update didn’t work out. made a backup of my kirby & panel folder + the htaccess. updated. server error. tried to revert. same :(

@rendernyc @mattdleonard area.autodesk.com/maya_anniversa… sadly no price before the great price slash

@rendernyc @mattdleonard well, yes, stands to reason. my prancing info was for Maya 1.5. 1.0 probably double that.

@mattdleonard might be of interest. macobserver.com/tmo/article/Al…

@mattdleonard Unlimited was roughly double the price of Complete. Can’t remember if there was a Complete/Unlimited split in 1.0 days though.

@mattdleonard the add ons came as part of Maya Unlimited. So you had two versions basically. Maya Complete and Maya Unlimited.

@mattdleonard …reviews Maya 1.5 for $75.000

@mattdleonard your mind is playing tricks on you. either that or they had a hefty price increase. I have an old magazine that…

looks like @cmivfx isn’t getting my money, since I am not able to create an account with them & support isn’t interested in responding to me

so… I’ll be in London next weekend and there probably will be a little meet up on Saturday evening. Details to come…

@NickLambert hehe, no worries. sometimes it the little things that might solve a problem.

@NickLambert but no worries. it is nothing immediate. just a general inquiry for future Alexa projects.

@NickLambert yes. tried keying the original color space, converting from linear to sRGB and Cineon. marginally better, but still not “good”

@NickLambert and on top of that you have to work harder to get fine edge detail because of excessive noise. so overall Alexa keying ≠ fun

@NickLambert where with film or other digital footage, you can get a decent overall key with the color picked.
