Cyberport.de support sucks. I ordered a Drobo last week, they shipped on Wednesday. I still have no Drobo and support isn’t reachable.

@frankjonen the problem with Nurbs text in Maya is to get the tesselation settings right otherwise the text comes out blocky.
@frankjonen I completely understand. I am Mac based for about 3 years now. I only struggle with the Windows beast out of necessity.
@frankjonen depending on the style yes, but I was more referring to extruding the text and creating Nurbs text this way.

@frankjonen my ideal workflow for 3D text: do the text with Nurbs (e.g. Maya) and render with Renderman for best resolution indepencence
@frankjonen you can actually do some nice text stuff in Maya with Nurbs. But 3D text is always a BIG pain in the butt. Oddly enough.

@frankjonen never said it was pretty, only functional. :-P I remember working with AI files in Wings before. Maybe check their forums.
@frankjonen I just copied the download URL and omitted the ?download from it. that makes Sourceforge go directly to a random download server

Always overlookign replies and direct messages with my FF Fluid app was a pain int he butt.
settled on thwirl for a FriendFeed/Twitter client again. Let’s see how it goes.
