another one of those stressfully unbusy days. I hate it when there is lots to do, but I can’t do anything. waiting for others. sitting stale

@alistardean make that two.
oh man this is even funnier, one man’s scathing ‘bug’ reports from AE’s repeated crashes: thurly.net//6ek (via @JamFactory) Brilliant
@spacesimon hehe. got swamped, didn’t you. :P
@GarryJay exactly. framefucking a reel is expected behaviour, but on the actual movie it is out of place. enjoy the darn sucker.
@GarryJay I sooo want this for next summer. :)
@Vonster hehe
@Vonster even though I have committed such walk away silent acts myself on Twitter.but I feel guilty every time.
@Vonster I am pretty old school and find it awkward, but then again, I am also bothered the same on Twitter.
@Vonster is it really “ending” chats. in my experience it normally is just “quitting to reply”, which I must give you is also pretty akward.

@5tu congrats!
@UPSLynx I don’t really play much nowadays, but I played through World of Goo in a matter of days.
@UPSLynx seriously it’s brilliant
@UPSLynx GET IT!!! HURRY!!! :)
@dcanfora yep, I am guilty to frame by frame trailers as well. but then again, trailer shots are hardly ever finished.
@MattWBP also, reel is a different beast then a movie on a DVD. of course, a reel should be as good as the artist can make it.
@MattWBP of course, if pixel perfection can be achieved within budget limitations then that is a no brainer. :)
@MattWBP well, yes and no. is it more important to make a shot pixel perfect or good enough (e.g. work) within the budget?
@danaseverance that is what I think as well. This DVD thing is just a common argument in the VFX industry, which I find ridiculous.
I mean we are talking about how the general public has gotten more apt at spotting flaws b/c they watch movies frame by frame? Don’t buy it.
I want to enjoy the sucker, not dissect it. Anyone nerdy enough to do that has earned it to find flaws.
Don’t get me wrong. I love VFX as much as the next VFX artist, but I never sat home yet to go through a movie frame by frame.
I really don’t get this fear of people going through my work at home on a DVD frame by frame.
and off for today. now quickly back home to food and movies!
