@meken Once I had half the farm or so. 1000 machines and half a days render took 10min. That was fun. :)
@meken usually had 5 8cores render my job, which is nice though.
@meken also it can be relatively pricey and restricts you to standard setups (plugins, have to bake motion, etc.)
@meken tried it for two projects where we ran out of time. May make sense and CAN be incredibly fast, but speed is not guaranteed.
@meken yes, I got that. I meant that it still might make sense to do it just for 3d, as you can always render comps locally relatively fast.
@meken well composites tend to render faster though. Buy a Mac Mini for that. Hehe

@meken pity. For me it is mostly interesting for a perceived decreased load in maintenance (1 machine vs. 4) and money is only secondary.
