@digitobe @spacesimon it only chokes the SuperDrive for me because the drive still is SATA I. My HDD is using the full 3GB

@notesy I use it as is in the Markdown settings field because I used different subfolders & didn’t want to play with relative paths for that
@spacesimon btw. I assume all things are working out with me coming over & you providing me with a room? Haven’t heard back from Matt yet
@spacesimon @digitobe the Crucial m4 are 6GB/s drives, but they have a 3GB/s compatability mode.
@notesy the CSS I came up with for now. Based on @ttscoff @MarkedApp export. cl.ly/9qkm
@MattWBP touché! good en dash use.
I’m a huge fan of the em dash (—) over the normal dash (-). If I had my way, I’d—use—it—everywhere.
@digitobe also, that’s why I opted for 64GB more. Much more space for caching and less need to constantly overwrite the same blocks.
@digitobe well Lion now properly supports TRIM, so in theory SSDs should last longer.
When you 1st start off trying to solve a problem, the 1st solutions you come up with are very complex & most … stop there… cl.ly/9rnt
@digitobe was pondering the 64 for while, but everything except my user folder has 50GB & I want a bit more breathing room for Nuke caches.
@digitobe ok. Litmus test: which SSD are you getting? (Crucial m4 128GB for me)
@digitobe lol. My thought exactly.
@digitobe hehe. I ordered RAM as well. Looks like we have a very similar week ahead of us. Good luck with your upgrade.
@digitobe …so now I try both and return the one I don’t like. :)
@digitobe I bought it mainly because it comes with a decent SuperDrive enclosure. Tried to cancel the cheap Amazon one but was too late…
@chrleon cheers. Decided on the clone from HardWrk.com. Let’s see. Oh and my MBP has Sata not Pata for the SuperDrive.
@digitobe I actually bought both (but not Optibay, but HardWrk.com) Will report back which one is better.
@digitobe mine too :)
@chrleon but will the sata HDD work on a pata port?
thinking about upgrading my MBP with a SSD & putting my old HDD in place of the optical. is there any difference which bay I install it in?

@mattdleonard nice one mate! Might be worth including a short bit in NUK902 or give a quick rundown in the forums.
@frankjonen you mean the so called “god-given” right to hate and discriminate others in the name of love and compassion?
