@frankjonen same here. But just not as interested or better invested in the perfect video streaming experience.

@frankjonen IE? :)

@frankjonen …all else is more of an annoying necessity. Same with cross-browser testing. Only the barest minimum.

@frankjonen I simply don’t have or am willing to invest the time on that part of web development. HTML, PHP & CSS are a bit of a hobby…

@frankjonen true, but availability across the board with minimum fuss trumps quality in my case.

@frankjonen but I’m not really in the web streaming business. More of an annoying necessity to me. Vimeo seems like the least resistance

@frankjonen don’t really know anything about Blip. But I love Vimeo for handling all the web video conversion, serving stuff. Simple.

@frankjonen blip.tv, right? Seems to only be for serialized stuff.

@frankjonen 2000-3000 visits per month not all of which are interested in videos. So say 10 streams per day? Vimeo can stomach that easily.

@frankjonen well, Akamai is definitely not what I need. I don’t have a ton of traffic and don’t really see it increasing by much.

@Jose_Herrera @alexlehnert not sure how IBK would have performed there, but I bet it would have rocked.

@Jose_Herrera @alexlehnert had one job where the BG changed from green to torquoise to light blue to dark blue to orange to black in shot.

@Jose_Herrera @alexlehnert I wish I had it on those jobs where I have to use Fusion.

Gah! I’m getting impatient and sick of listening to podcasts with eyes closed after only 8h. #pinkeye

@Animator looking good. Cheers! My buddy will be delighted. (I don’t use Lightroom.)

Lightroom users: is there a way to publish from Lightroom directly to FTP?

@frankjonen …them shortly.

@frankjonen really? I never had a problem viewing stuff on Vimeo. In fact I’m so happy with it, that I’ll be serving all our videos through…

@getkirby @nilshendriks I’ll be doing something similar for a business site shortly. But thinking of using tags instead of category folders

@getkirby great release! So looking forward to trying it.

@dan_hin Maya/mental ray Still painful though.

@dan_hin the final product requires a fade. For the animatic the materials are fading. Won’t work for final renders that way due to AO/GI

@dan_hin product viz showing assembly of stuff. Lots of small parts fading in. Easy to visualize in animatic. Tough to break up into renders

How would you guys handle a project with lots of geometry fading in/out? Render it? Render everything seperately? & light interaction?
